Quality

Uncompromising Quality at Every Stage

From Farm to Table

At PLENA ALIMENTOS S/A., we uphold the highest standards of food safety by implementing both HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) across all our operations. HACCP provides a systematic, preventive approach that identifies potential hazards during the production process and establishes critical control points to mitigate risks, ensuring that all our meat products remain safe for consumption. GMP complements this by enforcing strict guidelines related to hygiene, equipment maintenance, and employee practices, which guarantee consistency and product quality at every stage of production.

These internationally recognized systems are at the core of our operations, allowing us to meet stringent health and safety requirements, especially for exporting to over 50 countries, including those with specific food safety regulations. By adhering to HACCP and GMP, we maintain the highest levels of quality control, ensuring that our beef products meet global health standards. This reinforces our commitment to producing safe, premium meat products for the international market.

Robust Self-Assurance and Biosafety Programs

Advanced Programs to Guarantee Absolute Product Quality

At Plena Alimentos S.A., we are deeply committed to ensuring absolute product quality through our advanced programs and systems. Our production process is governed by cutting-edge traceability solutions, allowing us to oversee every detail of the supply chain from farm to final product. This level of transparency ensures that the cattle’s origin, diet, and health are meticulously monitored. By adhering to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), we can control each critical point in the production cycle, guaranteeing product safety and quality at every stage. These systems enable us to meet the rigorous standards required for global markets, ensuring our beef products are of the highest quality and safe for consumption.

In addition to our production protocols, we maintain an internal auditing process that continuously ensures compliance with both national and international standards. Our ISO 22000 certification integrates food safety management across the supply chain, demonstrating our commitment to top-tier safety benchmarks. This rigorous oversight allows us to confidently export our products to over 50 countries worldwide, knowing that we are consistently delivering safe, high-quality meat to our clients. Our advanced programs reflect our dedication to innovation and excellence in the global meat industry.

Contamination-Free Products

PLENA ALIMENTOS S/A prioritizes food safety through rigorous quality controls. We adopt the HACCP (Hazard Analysis at Critical Control Points) system, the world's leading food quality assurance method, to eliminate any potential contamination, ensuring that our products are free from chemical, physical, and biological hazards.

Federal Inspection Service (SIF)

Our products undergo daily inspections by the Federal Inspection Service (SIF) of the Ministry of Agriculture. With continuous monitoring by veterinary auditors and technical teams, we guarantee the health and quality of every product that leaves our facilities.

Comprehensive Product Analysis

Each month, our Quality Control department performs approximately 1,000 microbiological and physical-chemical analyses. These analyses cover products, equipment surfaces, and packaging to ensure everything meets our high standards for safety and quality.

Integrated Producers Partnership

Our Integrated Producers work closely with PLENA ALIMENTOS S/A, raising poultry with the guidance of our technical department. From the first day of a chick's life to its maturity, our producers ensure the birds' well-being with proper care and equipment, contributing to the quality of our final products.

Liquid effluents

All of Plena's production units have modern liquid effluent treatment systems, with excellent results in the treatment of the water used. We carry out physical-chemical and biological treatment of 100% of the liquid effluent generated, through the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETE) and, whenever possible and applicable, we reuse the treated effluent for fertigation in pastures, which is converted into a source of bulk for animal feed.

Atmospheric emissions

To ensure air quality, we treat the gases generated using filters, gas scrubbers and other applicable technologies for effective management of release parameters in accordance with current legislation. We monitor and control air pollution in all of the company's units, maintaining our commitment to generating less environmental impact.

Solid Waste Program:

We manage solid waste by identifying, separating and disposing of all waste generated correctly, promoting a reduction in the generation of common waste, carrying out selective collection and investing in technological solutions. Through this important tool, we establish partnerships with recycling companies, ensuring the efficiency of the program.

Water consumption management

We manage water consumption on a daily basis by measuring flow, preparing hydro-sanitary projects, controlling leaks and applying techniques to reduce consumption and reuse water in areas of the company not related to product manufacturing, such as gardens, patios and toilets.

Environmental education programs

We have adopted an annual calendar of events and campaigns that reinforce our internal and external environmental education program, such as SIPATMA week, Tree Day, Water Day and Environment Day. In addition, we provide introductory environmental training when integrating new employees and with contracted companies, before the start of activities, generating environmental awareness. All these projects and investments reinforce Plena's commitment to minimizing the impacts related to its activities, making production processes more efficient and sustainable, and standing out as a unique company in everything it does.
